We will be doing a handful of live marketing workshops in 2018, and we’d love to know what you want to learn! BUILD A WORDPRESS WEBSITE WITH ELEMENTOR

In this two-day workshop, we’ll build a simple website using the Elementor page builder and OceanWP WordPress theme. We’ll talk through website hosting, how to plan your site, web design basics, where to find images for your site, copywriting dos and don’ts, and how to optimize your site to make Google happy. The course will be held over two consecutive weekends, so that you can work through the week and come back with questions the following weekend. When the course is completed, you’ll have a working website and a pretty good understanding of how WordPress works. Bring your laptop, and be ready to work!

Want to be seen as an authority in your field? This half-day workshop will help you create a solid and actionable personal branding plan based around writing, teaching and public speaking opportunities, networking opportunities and overall public relations strategy. We’ll even talk about wardrobe choices and ways to change up your style. This is a fun course where we’ll be focusing on your craziest pie-in-the-sky dreams, but be ready to work! You’ll walk out with a checklist so you can get to work right away.

CONVERSION FUNNELS

Funnels are a big deal these days, but who really knows what they are or how they work? In this one-day workshop, we’ll walk step-by-step through the entire process — how to design a compelling funnel to bring in new clients, what you can offer to entice email signups, where to find someone to create your offer (if you won’t be doing so), secondary or “tripwire” offers, how to design a strong landing page, copywriting dos and don’ts, how to set up email automation using the free Mailchimp service, and popular funnel tools including LeadPages, ClickFunnels and WordPress. You’ll leave the course with a solid action plan to build your funnel.

DELEGATING YOUR MARKETING TASKS

It’s every business owner’s achilles heel: Letting go and delegating important tasks. Marketing, in particular, can be hard to let go of, because the return on investment isn’t always immediate. In this half-day workshop, we’ll talk through all the necessary marketing tasks faced by small businesses — as well as how, when and why to get help with those tasks, and how to allocate funds for long-term marketing expenses. HOW TO USE THE FACEBOOK TRACKING PIXEL

You’ve probably heard about the Facebook pixel, but you may not know what to actually do with it. The pixel opens up the world of ad retargeting as well as some advanced tracking capabilities for your business. Even if you aren’t currently advertising on Facebook or Instagram, you should have the pixel installed on your website so it can start collecting data about your traffic. This class will cover how to set up the pixel, how to install the pixel on your site, and ways you can use the pixel in your marketing efforts.
